About Amy
Amy Hunt Interior Design is an award-winning interior designer based in Reigate, Surrey, working with residential clients across Surrey, Sussex, South West London, Kent and beyond.
What sets Amy apart from most designers is a background most don't have. Before training at the KLC School of Design for Interior Design, Amy completed a pre-registration MSc in Occupational Therapy at Brunel University: a discipline built on one core idea: that the spaces we inhabit are inseparable from our health, wellbeing, and quality of life.
Years of dance training gave Amy an early, bodily understanding of how people move through space. Her OT training gave her the clinical framework to understand why environments make us feel the way they do, the research behind light and circadian rhythm, acoustic stress, cognitive load, sensory experience. When she designs a room, she's drawing on that evidence base, not just intuition.
"I want my clients to look forward to coming home. Coming home should feel like an event."
The result is interiors that are beautiful and genuinely functional, not as a compromise, but because Amy has never believed those two things are in tension. She asks her clients questions most designers don't: how do you move through your home in the morning? Which rooms feel draining, and why? That forensic curiosity about real, lived experience produces homes that work for the people inside them.
Amy launched Amy Hunt Interior Design in 2019. She is an Associate member of the BIID and SBID, featured on the House & Garden Recommended Designer List, and a multiple finalist at the SBID International Design Awards.
