My Double Shortlisting for the SBID International Design Awards 2025!
I was thrilled to open my inbox recently and discover that two of my interior design projects are shortlisted for the SBID International Design Awards 2025! It's such a privilege to be recognised again, and this time in two different categories:
Residential House Under £1M for the Classically Designed Property
Residential Budget Up to £50,000 for the Edwardian Hallway and WC Refurbishment
This double shortlisting feels like a true milestone and a celebration of the breadth of work I’ve had the joy of creating with my clients over the past year.
Bringing Classical Elegance Into the Modern Day
Classically Designed Property – Residential House Under £1M
This project was all about timeless style with a contemporary heartbeat. The home’s classical bones provided a beautiful canvas, and every design choice was guided by a desire to embrace proportion, light, and understated luxury. From carefully designed joinery and soft, layered materials to thoughtful lighting and spatial flow, this was a deeply considered project where traditional elegance met practical, modern living. It’s a huge honour to see it recognised at this level.

Small Space, Big Impact
Edwardian Hallway and WC Refurbishment – Residential Budget Up to £50,000
Sometimes the smallest spaces require the biggest vision. This Edwardian hallway and WC refurbishment was an exercise in balance—respecting the original character while introducing light, personality, and refined detail. We worked within a modest budget to create something that feels both elevated and welcoming, full of charm and function. It’s wonderful to have this transformation recognised—it proves that considered design doesn’t need to be large-scale to be powerful.

Representing Thoughtful Design in the UK and Beyond
As a proud member of both the SBID (Society of British & International Design) and the BIID (British Institute of Interior Design), it is both flattering and rewarding to have our projects selected again this year. Leading industry experts judge the SBID Awards, providing an important platform to celebrate exceptional design worldwide.
Having two projects shortlisted is a reminder of how varied and personal design can be and why I love doing what I do.
The Power of the Public Vote
The awards also include a public vote, and I would be so grateful for your support! Every vote really counts and helps spread the word about these beautifully personal spaces I’ve had the pleasure of designing.
Looking Ahead
Much like last year’s entry—the Oxted Mayfair Bar project—preparing these submissions was a moment to pause and reflect on what these spaces mean to the people who live in them. That has always been the heart of my work: designing with intention and long-term impact.
I look forward to attending the awards ceremony in October and celebrating the inspiring work of designers around the world.
